Belgravia is a district in Central London within the city of Westminster which is bordered by Pimlico Road in the south, Knightsbridge to the north, Sloane Street to the west and Grosvenor Street and Buckingham Palace Road to the east. The history of this district goes back to the time of Richard Grosvenor, the 2nd Marquess of Westminster, who owned this place and began developing the area from the period of the 1820's. To this day it enjoys the acclaim of being one of the most residential districts in London. Belgravia is especially famous for the white stucco terraced houses it contains.
